Ambode appoints Fabamwo new CMD of LASUTH
Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state has confirmed the appointment Prof. Adetokunbo Fabamwo as the new Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).
The information is contained in an official bulletin of the Lagos State University (LASU) and made available to Newsmen on Thursday in Lagos.
It said that the appointment is for a three-year term with effect from Jan. 1, 2019.
“The state government expresses confidence in Fabamwo’s capacity to successfully lead the institution thus in approving the appointment, due cognisance has been taken of his track record.
“I, therefore, have no doubt that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear on the mandate of the LASUTH and that he will continue to justify the confidence reposed in him by His Excellency, the governor,” it said.
Meanwhile, LASU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, has congratulated Fabamwo on his appointment on behalf of the university.
Fagbohun noted that Fabamwo has consistently demonstrated excellence and quality leadership in his duties in the College of Medicine and he was therefore not surprised at the latter’s elevation.
He, therefore,wished the new CMD an outstanding tenure.
Supreme Magazine gather that Fabamwo is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM), Ikeja, Lagos.
