The Ben AKak Foundation on Wednesday inaugurated a completed borehole project at Ugep, Headquarter of Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River.

Speaking at the occasion, the foundation Chairman, Mr Ben AKak, said he decided to construct the borehole to assist members of the community to have clean and portable water.

According to him, the borehole project, situated at the Ugep main market, came to him as a divine injection.

“What this foundation had done today is a sign of greater things to come,” he said.

AKak, however, asked the Paramount Ruler of Ugep, Obol Ofem Eteng, for wisdom, knowledge and blessings as Royal Father of the community.

Responding, the Obol expressed appreciation for the gesture and prayed God to guide Akak further in his philanthropic activities.

“I pray God to further enable you to extend his milk of kindness to the community beyond this water project,” he said.

Mrs Mary Eteng, a trader, who spoke on behalf of the resident of Ugep, commended the foundation for the gesture.

“I thank the foundation so much for providing this borehole to our community, the borehole will help a lot in this market, especially we that sell some goods in the market,” she said.
