Rep. Aishatu Jibir (APC-Dukku/Nafada) in Gombe State, on Tuesday donated items and patrol vehicles worth N110 million to her constituents.

The items donated included 100 motorcycles, 200 sewing machines, six vehicles, 50 wheelchairs for the physically challenged persons, 21 grinding machines, 21 water pumps for dry season farming.

Others are camp gas, 30 deep freezers, 100 Pots, 24 cartons of noodles and N2,043,000 cash to party members in her constituency.

Jibir said the aim of the gesture was to empower and reciprocate the support she received from her people.

“I cannot quantify the amount of support I enjoyed from my constituents, this is my own little way of telling them thank you,” she said.

The legislator expressed optimism that the items would go a long way in enhancing their livelihood.

She said four out of the vehicles donated were Nissan frontier for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) office in Dukku and Nafada.

“The remaining two Sharon Galaxy are for the local vigilante group in the two LGAs; security is everyone’s concern, therefore government must not be left alone with the responsibility,” Jibir said.

Gov. Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State commended the lawmaker for the gesture and called on other elected members of the party at various levels to emulate her.
