Ngozi Okonjo Iweala’s Father passes on at 91
The immediate past Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Chukwuka Okonjo, is dead.
The university’s information bulletin issued on Monday, said Okonjo, who was the Obi of Ogwashi Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, died at the age of 91 in the United States of America.
The publication stated that the late monarch, was a Professor of Mathematics, university administrator, international consultant and traditional ruler.
It further stated that he was the university’s council chairman between 2012 and 2017.
The publication also said that the late scholar dedicated his life to teaching, research and service of humanity.
