The Nigerian Legion, Kwara council and corps Commissionaire has commiserated with Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on the death of his father, AGF AbdulRazaq (SAN).

The legion expressed the condolence in a statement by the Legion Director of Human Resources and Public Relations, Deputy Corps Commander (DCC) Olusegun Omolale in Ilorin on Friday.

“The Nigerian Legion Kwara State Council and Corps of Commissionaire, Kwara Command, wishes to commiserate with the entire family of the Governor of Kwara State on the peaceful passing away of their father, late Mutawali of Ilorin Emirate, Alhaji AGF AbdulRasak (SAN).

“Our heartfelt condolences goes also to Dr. Alimi Abdulrasaq, Barrister Hairat Gwadabe Abdulrasaq, Hajiya Aishat Lawal Abdulrasaq, Malam Baba Abdulrasaq and others family members over the loss of Baba, who died last Saturday in Abuja at the age of 93,” Omolale said.

He described the death of the AbdulRazaq, the patriarch and the first lawyer in the whole Northern Nigeria as a glorious exit.

According to the legion spokesman, late AbdulRazaq was a passionate educationist and legal luminary.

Omolale said Pa AbdulRazaq immense contribution to the nation building and growth of judiciary during the Pre and Post-Independence of the Nigeria was an eloquent testimonies of a great man with unrivalled integrity.

“On behalf of Alhaji Aliyu Akanno, State Chairman and Corps Commander, all the officers and men of Nigerian Legion prayed unto the Almighty God to grant the departed soul, the great community leader an eternal rest.

“We also pray God to give his immediate family that survived him, the entire Ilorin Emirate and Kwara people the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,”
