Poland has announced the easing of further coronavirus restrictions for the holiday season.

As of June 26, hotels will be allowed to accommodate guests up to a maximum occupancy rate of 75 per cent.

Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, said this in Warsaw on Thursday that children would not be counted.

Before the announcement the limit was 50 per cent but in future, up to 75 per cent of the seats in restaurants may also be occupied.

“For concerts and sporting events, the maximum occupancy rate is 50 per cent, dancing in clubs is also to be allowed again with up to 150 guests permitted,” said Morawiecki.

According to the Ministry of Health, the number of new infections within one day is 382 and in the same period of time 84 people died in connection with the virus.

So far, 23.2 million vaccine doses have been administered and some 8.9 million people have been fully vaccinated.
