Lucy Ejike, 61kg gold medalist at the Rio Paralympics Games, on Saturday said sports activities may take a new turn from what athletes and fans usually experience after the coronavirus pandemic.

Ejike told Supreme in Abuja that “the sports sector will have to adjust to the new procedures and it will take time for people to do so.

She added that sports would after the lockdown need a long time before it could go back to what it used to be.

“There is likely to be a change in how sports is usually being played and experienced by the spectators,” Ejike said.

The mother of two, who said she had engaged in indoor exercises to keep fit, said she was eager for sports to return. “I can’t wait to get back to the field.
